The premise behind Henry Bill. Higher Earning, Not Rich Yet… But I Love Life!
I like this acronym for a few reasons. I was born poor. I grew up poor. I worked hard and got lucky along the way and now I am not poor. I’m also not rich nor do I want to be, but I still strive for more. The common thread from when I was poor to now? I have a keen eye for value. This has helped me understand the difference between low cost and cheap, overhyped and fairly priced. I added the, “but I love life” part because I’ve realized that money is just a vehicle to enjoy my life and more importantly my friends and family. Sometimes the right answer is to do less and make less money if it means more time with these people.
This site will cover topics from finance to family, old tricks to new technology, and good food, to even better design. The common thread will be value.
According to the Webster’s dictionary, the word value is defined as the monetary worth of something or the fair return for something exchanged – basically, you get what you paid for.
I would like to think that in today’s age where most things are being commoditized, value needs to really be getting MORE than you paid for.
I’m hoping that this will be a platform where this idea can be shared.
